How long is the Bleed to Build programme?

Eight weeks. Every week has one mission, a full set of lessons, and specific deliverables you complete and keep. Cohort students move through it together on a fixed schedule. Self-paced students set their own pace, with access to the content for 12 months.

What is the difference between Self-Paced and Cohort?

Both tracks get the whole curriculum, all eight weeks of it, and every framework and tool in the library. Cohort adds the people. A weekly Bleed Circle where you present evidence and answer for it, a weekly advisory session, expert review on every key Founder Asset, an accountability partner, and a seat at Demo Day. It runs on a fixed schedule with a group moving at the same pace, and it costs R9,500. Self-Paced is the same content on your own time, with community access and 12 months to work through it, for R4,500. No live sessions, no advisory, no Demo Day. The honest way to choose: if you have finished an online course on your own before, Self-Paced will work. If you have started three and finished none, the deadline and the group are the thing you are actually buying.

Do I need existing business experience?

Accepted Answer

No. Week 1 exists to find a problem worth solving, and it assumes you are starting from nothing more than an interest. You leave that week with three candidate problems scored against real evidence rather than one idea you have talked yourself into. Founders who already trade are welcome too. The work is the same: the difference is that your Customer Safari confirms or complicates something you already believed, and the gap between why you think people buy from you and why they say they do is usually where your growth is stuck.

What happens if I miss a week?

The cohort moves forward together, the way a class does. Nobody waits, and there are no rescue calls. Your content stays available for 12 months, so a week you miss is a week you catch up rather than a week you lose. Every Founder Asset stays open and every lesson stays where it was. The deadline pressure is deliberate. It is most of what separates a programme people finish from a course people buy.

What is the refund policy?

A full refund within 7 days of your cohort start date, provided you have not opened Week 2 content. Whichever of those two comes first ends the window. That is a genuine window to decide the programme is not for you before the real work starts. After it, no refunds: by then the value has been delivered and the work has begun. On an instalment plan, a refund inside the window returns your first instalment in full and cancels the rest. Request one at /refund-request and we answer within 48 hours. Can I switch between Self-Paced and Cohort?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and the direction matters. Moving from Self-Paced up to Cohort: pay the difference and take the next available intake. Nothing you have already completed is lost. Moving from Cohort down to Self-Paced: possible before your cohort starts. Once it has, the live sessions and the advisory have started being delivered whether or not you attend them, so there is no refund of the difference. What is a Founder Diagnostic?

A short, focused strategy conversation. You bring one specific question about your business, you get a straight answer and a concrete next step. It is not a sales call and there is nothing to sit through. Founders use it to decide whether a programme is right for them, and just as often to settle a decision that has nothing to do with us. Question 8

How do advisory sessions work?

One-on-one, with an advisor, on your business rather than on a curriculum. Available whether or not you have done a programme. A one-off session is for a specific question or decision. A monthly retainer is for a founder who wants somebody following the work continuously, and carries a minimum commitment stated when you engage. Cohort students already get a weekly advisory session as part of the programme, so this is for the founders who want more, or who are not on a programme at all. Cancel a booked session more than 48 hours ahead for a full refund. Inside 48 hours the session is forfeited, because the time was held for you. The tiers and prices are on the Advisory page.

Question 9

What is the Bleed Circle?

The weekly live group session on the Cohort track. Founders bring the evidence they gathered that week, present it, and answer questions from the group. Then each one commits out loud to the decision that shapes their next week. It is an evidence review, not a pitch practice. Nobody is being sold to and nobody is scoring you. The value is that a room of people who did the same work that week can tell when an answer is thin.

Question 10

Is there a payment plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Both tracks can be paid in full, and the Cohort track can be split into two instalments. Card payments go through PayFast. EFT is available and the bank details, along with the reference to use, are on the checkout page. If a payment is missed, content access pauses until it is settled. It does not cancel the balance, and the remaining instalments stay due. If you are heading for a problem with a due date, write to info@entrepreneurgenie.africa before it passes rather than after. We will always try to find something workable with a founder who tells us early.
